AI Voice Agent
The brain of Vozko. Handles inbound calls, books reservations, answers menu questions, and escalates to staff when needed.
AI Call Answering
Every incoming call to your restaurant phone number is answered by Vozko's AI voice agent. The AI uses your restaurant's context — name, hours, menu, location, policies — to have natural, helpful conversations with guests. It speaks in a clear, friendly voice and can handle multiple guests at once.
How it works
- A guest calls your number. The AI greets them with your restaurant's name.
- The AI listens and understands intent: booking, menu question, hours inquiry, or special request.
- It responds naturally, accessing your menu, calendar, and knowledge base in real time.
- If the request is beyond the AI's scope (e.g., large party, complex complaint), it escalates to your staff via a ticket.
Configuration
Configure your greeting style, default language, and escalation rules in Settings. You can also set business hours so the AI knows when you're open.
Reservation Booking
Guests can book, modify, or cancel reservations through natural conversation. The AI checks slot availability, confirms the booking, and sends an SMS confirmation — all in one call.
What guests can say
- "I'd like a table for four at 7pm on Friday."
- "Can I move my 6pm booking to 8pm?"
- "I need to cancel my reservation for tonight."
- "What's available for a party of six tomorrow?"
Menu FAQs
Guests can ask about your menu items — ingredients, pricing, allergens, and descriptions — and the AI answers from your uploaded menu and custom knowledge base.
Example questions
- "What's in the truffle pasta?"
- "Do you have gluten-free options?"
- "How much is the ribeye steak?"
- "What desserts do you serve?"
The AI searches your menu items with semantic understanding — it doesn't just keyword-match. It understands context like "something light" or "good for kids."
Business Hours Handling
The AI knows your operating hours per location, per day of the week. It answers hours inquiries and rejects booking requests outside open times.
Set recurring weekly hours in Settings per location. The AI uses your restaurant's timezone to convert guest times correctly.
Human Escalation
When a guest request is too complex or sensitive for the AI, it creates an escalation ticket that your staff can review and act on. Escalation triggers include:
- Large parties (configurable threshold, default 8+)
- Special requests the AI cannot handle
- Complaints or upset callers
- Failed message deliveries that need human follow-up
- Cancellation recovery offers
Tickets appear in the dashboard. You can view, resolve, and track them over time.
Multilingual AI
The voice agent detects the caller's language and responds in the same language. Set a default language per restaurant. Supported languages include English, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Japanese, Thai, and more.
Each call is logged with the detected language, so you can see which languages your guests prefer.
